Sankalp@ABBS is the Entrepreneurship and Innovation initiative of ABBS, established to nurture
entrepreneurial thinking, support venture creation, and build strong industry–academia linkages.
Sankalp functions as a structured, faculty-led ecosystem that enables students to transform ideas
into viable, sustainable enterprises.


About Sankalp

Sankalp@ABBS is envisioned as more than an activity-based E-Cell. It is a capability-building platform
designed to align academic learning with real-world entrepreneurial practice. Through structured programs,
mentoring, and experiential learning, Sankalp supports students at various stages of their entrepreneurial
journey — from ideation to early-stage execution.

Vision

Sankalpaḥ (संकल्पः)

To ignite purposeful entrepreneurship by transforming student intentions into innovative and sustainable
ventures, and to foster a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem aligned with national and global challenges.

Governance & Structure

  • Faculty Chairperson (Mārgadarśakaḥ): Strategic oversight, industry liaison, and resource mobilization
  • Faculty Co-Coordinator (Sahāyakācāryaḥ): Program execution, mentoring, and daily operations
  • Student Leadership (Yuvanāyakaḥ): Student engagement and initiative execution
  • Core Committee (Kendrakārikāḥ): Events, outreach, finance, and communications
  • Advisory Board (Mantrīmaṇḍalaḥ): Alumni entrepreneurs, industry experts, and ecosystem partners

Kalpaśālā (Ideation Lab)

Ideation workshops, design thinking sessions, hackathons, and pitching activities

Bīja-Saṁcayaḥ (Incubation Support)

Early-stage venture support, incubation tie-ups, seed funding guidance, and IP awareness

Kṣamā-Vṛddhiḥ (Capacity Building)

Certification programs, entrepreneurship workshops, simulations, and founder skill development

Saṁvāda-Setuḥ (Networking & Outreach)

Founder talks, startup conclaves, ecosystem collaborations, and institutional partnerships

Nidhi-Saṁyogaḥ (Venture Funding Connect)

Investor pitching forums, angel and VC connect sessions, and funding readiness programs

Implementation Roadmap

  • Phase I – Prārambhaḥ (0–3 months): Team formation and infrastructure setup
  • Phase II – Jāgarūkatā (3–6 months): Awareness programs, talks, and ideation events
  • Phase III – Sakriyatā (6–12 months): Mentoring and student-led startup initiatives
  • Phase IV – Vikāsaḥ (1–2 years): Incubated ventures, partnerships, and funding access

Sankalp@ABBS was formally inaugurated on 8 October 2025, marking a significant milestone in
ABBS’s commitment to entrepreneurship, innovation, and student-led venture creation.

Flagship Program: NIT Sikkim Collaboration

From Idea to Enterprise – Entrepreneurship Immersion Program

A five-day structured Entrepreneurship Immersion Program conducted for NIT Sikkim students
from 12th to 17th January 2026.

Program Highlights
